This is truly the Cadillac of all luggage! It's built entirely out of an aluminum-magnesium alloy. Sounds familiar? That's the same material that most airplanes are constructed from. In fact, Rimowa has been making luggage from aluminum alloys since 1937. Their cases can stand just about anything you can throw at them without any worries. One of the things that separates the Rimowa line from the rest is that their cases are lovingly hand-built in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
Let's be honest, these cases are not cheap to buy. Having said this, they are back ordered six to eight months at my local luggage store. This makes them very exclusive and very hard to find. So, if you want one, you'd better get ordering as soon as possible.
As expensive as they are, you do get what you pay for. Rimowa is famous for the quality of their materials and the skill of their workmanship. My only suggestion would be: For anyone wanting to check-in a suitcase that costs as much as these bags cost, spend a little extra and buy a fitted protective cover.
